Subscriptions: Suspend, Pause and Cancel

This article focuses on how the Merchant can suspend, pause, and cancel customer subscription.

Pause a Subscription

You can pause a subscription that is in Active, Pending, Failed status.

  1. Go to Subscriptions

  2. Click the eye icon of the subscription plan you would like to pause. Identify using the Subscription Number.

  3. Click the More Actions button to display your options.

4. Click the Pause button. It will open a modal wherein you have to select the Resume Date of when the subscription will run again.

Note that upon pausing the Subscription, the billing will be paused as well. The billing will resume based on the selected Resume Date.

5. Select the date of when the subscription will continue.

6. Click the Ok button to save the changes.

The subscription status will change to Paused.

Resume Subscription

  1. Open the Paused subscription.

  2. Click the More Actions button. Click the Resume Date option.

  3. Select the date when you want the subscription to continue. Select the current date if you want the subscription to run again.

Cancel a Subscription

You can cancel a subscription in Active, Pending, Failed, Paused and Suspended status.

  1. Go to Subscriptions

  2. Click the eye icon of the subscription plan you would like to pause. Identify using the Subscription Number.

  3. Click the More Actions button to display your options.

4. Click the Cancel Subscription from the options. It will open a modal displaying the subscription details and a list of reason/s that you can choose from.

5. Select a reason for canceling.

6. Click the Save button.

A success message will display once the cancellation request is successful.


Note that the subscription will not be immediately canceled. The status of the subscription will remain as is until the cancellation request is approved.

Approve Cancellation Request

  1. Go to Subscriptions

  2. Click the Cancellation Requests button. This contains the list of all cancellation requests.

3. You can approve the cancellation request by clicking the icon under the Actions of each row with For Approval status.

4. Click the icon under the Actions button of each row with For Approval status. It will open the Canceled Subscription Details.

5. Click the Approve button.


A success message will display and the status of the subscription will be set to Cancelled.


Note that Cancelled is an end state of a subscription. Once canceled, no more actions can be done.
